Stars on his Arms and and My Spring are both accapella tracks. I love layering vocal harmony. The title track So Lonesome as well as Flowers and My Spring were improvisations that I decided were worthy of being completely untouched and left as they were. Flowers in particular. I recorded it on a tape player. I had no idea it was going to come out of me. I liked it so much that I played along with the tape player to record the main track you hear here. If you listen closely you may hear it in the background. Sadly, the very end of My Friendly got cut early. My apologies. I was operating with limited funky software at the time. This album is truly the roughest rawest me and myself you will get. I worked so hard, but I am not an engineer!

Suzanne Tufan is an Iowa born, California raised singer songwriter with influences ranging from Joni Mitchell to Radiohead. Her sound is understated, free flowing and acoustic with a folk pop feel. Suzanne formed the band A Year Afar in 2012 and toured briefly before departing in 2014.
